The second tree in the collection is directly connected to the first, one we pass on our journey home from the playground after my son has exhausted his energy. I was captivated by the way its bark hung from the branches, creating a striking contrast between the downward pull of gravity and the tree’s upward reach toward the sky.
The tree’s colours also drew me in, particularly the way the morning light filtered through, revealing a rich palette of cool and warm tones. The interplay of hues—from the bluish-grey trunk to the soft orange and pink of the bark—surprised me with how such an array of colours could be found in a single tree.
